Camden Campus Auxiliary Awards Scholarships to 2011 Grads
ST.MARYS, Georgia: June 6, 2011– The Southeast Georgia Health System Camden Campus Auxiliary recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to Camden County High School seniors Holly Horton, Helen Clark and Toni Blake. All three students have served as volunteens at the Camden Campus. The official presentation was made at the Senior Scholarship and Award Night program held at Camden County High School on May 17.
Horton, the daughter of Thomas and Jackie Horton of Woodbine, will attend the Georgia Institute of Technology to pursue a degree in biochemistry. Blake, the daughter of Katherine and Tony Blake of Woodbine, will attend the College of Coastal Georgia as a nursing student. Clark, the daughter of Lisa and Hubert Clark Jr. of Kingsland, will attend Harvard University where she will study cultural (medical) anthropology, global health and pre-med.
The Camden Campus Auxiliary awards scholarships each May to Camden County high school students who have been accepted full-time at an accredited technical school, college, or university and who are pursuing a career in health care. Applicants are considered based upon their letters of recommendation, academic record, extracurricular activities, leadership record, community service and answer to a short essay question.
