Breastfeeding Conference Set for April 19

BRUNSWICK, Georgia: March 30, 2012 —Breastfeeding: The Gift for Life will take place Thursday, April 19 in the Linda S. Pinson Conference Center on the Southeast Georgia Health System Brunswick Campus, 2415 Parkwood Drive. This annual conference is presented to update the community and health care professionals with the latest lactation information. The day will begin with registration at 7:30 a.m. and will conclude at 4:15 p.m.

The speaker for this year’s seminar is Marsha Walker, R.N., IBCLC (international board-certified lactation consultant.) An internationally known speaker and published author, she provides consulting services to health care organizations and frequently provides in-service presentations. She sits on several boards of directors, including the Massachusetts Breastfeeding Coalition. She is a past president of the International Lactation Consultant Association. The all-day conference fee is $75 and includes conference materials and lunch. An application has been made for Georgia Nursing Association (GNA) contact hours and continuing education recognition points (CERPs.).
