
Sports Medicine Program
The Sports
Medicine Program at Southeast Georgia Health System consists of a team of
dedicated professionals that includes certified athletic trainers, physical
therapists and physical therapy assistants. These professionals are involved in
many areas of athletics throughout our community and their primary goals of the
program are injury prevention and the education of area athletes. These goals
are achieved by teaching area athletes, who range from the beginning adolescent
soccer player to the seasoned professional, sports nutrition
and the latest injury prevention techniques.
Who can
utilize our services? Anyone wishing to have coverage for a sporting event, education on injury prevention and maximizing function or rehabilitation from injury can utilize our services. The trainers in Sports
Medicine offer years of combined experience and are members of the College of
Sports Medicine and the National Athletic Trainers Association.
