Arthritis Exercise Program
The Arthritis Exercise Program at Southeast Georgia Health System was designed
to help people with arthritis gain flexibility, strengthen their muscles,
and reduce pain and stiffness. With less pain, people with arthritis may
be able to reduce their reliance on pain medication and enjoy a more active

- Improve bone density and strength
- Improve mood
- Increase endurance

- Maintain flexibility and strengthen joints
- Reduce the deterioration of bone and cartilage

Who should attend the program?
Anyone who routinely experiences joint pain, stiffness, and/or limited
range of motion is invited to attend. This program may be for you if you
have arthritis or a related condition such as:
- Back and neck pain
Who leads the exercise program?
An Arthritis Foundation® certified exercise specialist teaches program
participants special range of motion and strengthening exercises. Proper
techniques for exercising from a sitting or standing position are also
taught. Don’t let arthritis keep you on the sidelines another day.
