August 14, 2015 —What is osteoporosis? How do you reduce your risk
for osteoporosis? How do you reduce your risk for fractures? According
to the National Institutes of Health, osteoporosis causes 1.5 million
bone fractures every year. Implementing fracture prevention is an essential
part of osteoporosis treatment.
Join us for the Lunch and Learn For Your Health lecture at the Golden
Isles YMCA from 12 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, as Karah L. Brown,
PA-C, with Summit Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Surgery, presents
“Osteoporosis and Fracture Prevention.” Applebee’s Neighborhood
Grill & Bar will provide lunch at no charge to attendees.
The lecture will offer important information on risk factors, prevention
and treatment options of osteoporosis.
The Lunch and Learn For Your Health series takes place on the last Wednesday
of each month at the Golden Isles YMCA located at 144 Scranton Connector,
Brunswick. Seating is limited and pre-registration is required by calling
